Blog, web site, and Facebook!

As you read this the SWHS AA is developing a web site!  It will have great features, including MORE news about SWHS AA and our graduating classes, information about our fund raisers, and details about our annual scholarship winners!

You KNOW there will be even more information than that, which is a great reason to visit often!

www.swhsaa.com

We'll also keep up this blog for its flexibility.  If YOU are planning a class event, be sure to let us know and we'll help publicize it for you here!

AND - you're the first to know - we have a Facebook page!  So "like" us on Facebook and be totally connected!

Look for "Sedro-Woolley High School Alumni Assn." on Facebook.

2011 Membership Year - Renew for 2012!

Thanks to our enthusiastic members, we have come to the end of another membership year - our membership year is the "calendar year" - and that means it's time to renew!

We have two classes of membership - Annual and Life.
Annual Memberships are currently $10 per year.
  Life Memberships are currently $100.

The Association's Fall newsletter was recently mailed and in the newsletter is a form you can use to submit membership dues, as well as donations/memorials, or reservations for the 2012 All-Class Picnic.

If you prefer to mail in your membership check without a form, be sure to include your name (including name at graduation), address, phone number, e'mail address, years for which you are enrolling (many people pay two or more years at a time), and your GRADUATING YEAR!

We also welcome "friends" of the Association as members, even if they didn't graduate with us.  Some spouses and former SW School District students become members as "friends" of the organization!

Mail to:

SWHS Alumni Association
PO Box 509
Sedro-Woolley WA 98284

As of December 15, 2011, our year-end total membership is
  414 Annual Members
  156 Life Members

for a grand total of 570 members!

Class of 1952 still holds the top spot for most class members who are paid members of the Association with 33!

Your dues are used for the administrative expenses of the Association, and any additional donations go directly to our scholarship fund.  During 2012 we will award multiple scholarships to SWHS and State Street HS students who plan to pursue vocational careers.  Please become a member and help make these young alumni dreams come true!

The Alumni Association will meet at the SW Senior Center on March 8th at 1:00 p.m and again on March 23 at 1:00 p.m. These are general membership meetings and you are invited!

The March 8th meeting is a makeup meeting for the February 23 general membership meeting which we had to cancel due to SNOW in Sedro-Woolley. Not a small amount, either. 14 inches of the stuff! We still have some piles about but today was a nice, early spring day so the melt is on.

At both meetings we will discuss upcoming events such as the selection of scholarship winners, plant and bake sale, and the big All Class Picnic on July 9th. If you want details or are willing to help with any of these events, you are all the more welcome!
